Every destination has a story and each journey begins with curiosity.
A Taste Of… experiences are created around places I know personally and genuinely want to share. They are not selected from a catalogue and they are never designed for large groups.
Each combines a strong sense of place with excellent hospitality, memorable food and wine, local knowledge and time to enjoy good company.

What to Expect
Although every destination is different, the principles remain the same:
- A small group, usually no more than 10 guests.
- A journey personally chosen, curated and hosted by Brian Smith.
- Characterful accommodation selected for its setting, atmosphere and service.
- Food and wine experiences that reveal the traditions of the region.
- Introductions to local people, producers and hosts.
- Time to explore without rushing.
- One table around which the group can share the journey.

Carcassonne, southwest France
Carcassonne is a place of medieval walls, Languedoc vineyards, proud culinary traditions and friendships built over many visits.
Our long weekend will include the ancient Cité, Périgord black truffles, local wine, a Michelin-starred dinner and the pleasure of experiencing southwest France at a quieter and more atmospheric time of year.
The journey is limited to no more than 10 guests and based at the five-star Hôtel de la Cité.
Looking Ahead
Future A Taste Of… journeys will be announced only when the destination, programme and people involved feel right.
Some may return to places explored on earlier journeys; others will introduce somewhere entirely new. What they will share is a personal connection, a strong local identity and experiences worth gathering around one table to enjoy.
